Following ALWAYS ONLY JESUS in 2022, WONDER & AWE, the new 13-track selection, finds the band collaborating with longtime producer Tedd T, who also serves as Executive Producer, as well as Brown Bannister, and new creative voices Josh Auer, Jarad Atherton and Carter Frodge.

For the first time ever, the band also jumped in to co-produce all tracks.

The upcoming project’s lead single, “Oh Death,” is racing up the charts, currently sitting at No.3 on both the Billboard Christian AC and Mediabase Christian AC charts, No. 5 on Billboard Christian Airplay charts, and at No.6 on Mediabase Christian Audience.

With a whopping 50 No. 1 songs, WONDER & AWE’S lead single follows MercyMe’s most recent No. 1 hits, “Then Christ Came feat. Phil Wickham” and “To Not Worship You,” as well as the top five hit, “Always Only Jesus.”

“One of the struggles within today’s church is the lack of awe,” says lead singer Bart Millard about the new project.

“Having access to virtually everything within the palm of our hands, where’s the joy in being surprised? Those moments that take our breath away.

This album reflects where I am right now…longing for wonder and awe—actively seeking the wonder of God and learning not to take it for granted.

We’re so excited to finally share it, and we hope it brings even a fraction of the joy and excitement it’s brought us.”
