Tauren Wells has been announced as the Gospel Music Association host for the 54th annual GMA Dove Awards. He has received the GMA Dove Awards Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year award as well as the New Artist of the Year in 2018, he will also be performing on the show on top of hosting it.
Tauren Wells is a platinum selling artists, a preacher, public speaker and father who has received 8 GMA Dove Awards, along with 10 Grammy nominations with a Billboard Music Award nomination. He has also reached 6 number 1’s with 330 plus million career video views along with 1.1 billion streams and counting. He connects his contemporary Christian and Gospel sound with pop, hip-hop and R&B.

The GMA Dove Awards will have a theme this year of Joyful Echo where Isaiah 42:12 says, “Make God’s glory resound, echo His praises from coast to coast.”
Wells says, “What Joyful Echo makes me think of is the writer in scripture that says one generation will tell another of the greatness of God. That essentially the goodness of God will be echoed from one generation to another,” Continues. “What joy it brings the believer to be able to tell those coming from behind us how great, how good, how awesome God is. It’s also cool to note that as you declare God’s praises and sing of His goodness, it reverberates throughout history the greatness of our God.”
