Study Claims Women Won’t Achieve Equal Pay Until 2056

A new report suggests that women won’t achieve equal pay until the year 2056.

That’s according to the Center for American Progress, which tracked employment and wage trends since the passage of the 1963 Equal Pay Act.

In 2021, women working full-time earned 77 cents for every dollar earned by men – up from just 59 cents in 1963.

That’s a total gap of more than $61 trillion over the last 56 years, according to the study.
