Breast Cancer Survivor Advocating for a Greater Cause

MOBILE, Ala. Tracey Morgan, CEO and Founder of Sugar Me Lace & Mink Bar, providing medical wigs to women with breast cancer

CEO Tracey Morgan recounts her first encounter with her breast cancer diagnosis in 1998 when she was pregnant with her son.

Furthermore, her mother and sister were diagnosed with breast cancer.

Consequently, they all suffered hair loss following chemotherapy which in turn motivated Morgan to open a space where women could go and discover new hairstyles.

CEO Tracey Morgan creates diverse and custom, human hair medical wigs to aid with providing a boost of self-confidence for women suffering from hair loss.

She further states,”We are always told that our hair doesn’t matter but to wake up or touch your hair or find your hair laying on a pillow is a different experience than you cutting your hair off.”

Morgan’s concept is based on wanting a safe and confidential place where women can openly share stories about their experiences with hair loss.

Her plan has shaped itself as Sugar Me Lace and Morgan states,”Women can come in here and we can laugh, cry, get lunch, whatever helps them feel comfortable.”

Morgan’s wigs are prepped with protective caps to shield the scalp from any scratches.

Morgan is also a Durable Medical Equipment provider and Sugar Me Lace accepts medical insurance.
