The Clark Sisters Have Been Honored With A Lifetime Achievement Award For The Grammy’s

Detroit Legends gospel group the Clark Sisters have been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Recording Academy for this year’s Grammy.

The Clark sisters – Jacky, Denise, Elbernita (“Twinkie”), Dorinda, and Karen are the most selling female gospel group in history and also helped bring the gospel music into mainstream.

The Group formed in the mid-1960s and released their first album, “Jesus Has a Lot to Give,” in 1973. They have sold millions of records over the decades.

Their most recent album “The Return,” came out in 2020 after they took a 11 year break that followed their previous set in 2009 “The Clark Sisters’ Family Christmas.” That featured Snoop Dogg on the track “His Love.”
