Legendary gospel group the Clark Sisters will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Recording Academy ahead of this year’s Grammys.

Jacky, Denise, Elbernita (“Twinkie”), Dorinda, and Karen are the best-selling female gospel group in history, helping bring gospel music to the mainstream. The group has sold millions of records across decades.

All five members were mentioned by the Recording Academy as honorees, including Denise, who left the group in 1986.

The Grammys’ Special Merit Awards will be held at Los Angeles’ Wilshire Ebell Theater on February 3 and air on February 4 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
